Beginner
lessons are for non-swimmers just getting started learning how to swim.
These lessons teach buoyancy, use
of arms and legs for propulsion, and to independently
take a breath in the water. Students also learn
accidental pool immersion survival skills.
Beginning Aquatics Skills include:

Entering and
moving through the water unassisted.

Safely exiting
the water.

Rolling on to
back and floating.

Alternating
arm action.

Simultaneous
arm action.
-
Alternating
leg action.
-
Simultaneous
leg action.
-
Combined
stroke on front using arm and leg action.
NOTE: There is
not necessarily a connection between our general
level descriptions and the number of lessons a
person takes. Everyone learns at different rates and
the learning process depends upon the student’s
willingness to participate in the process.
